Es ist (endlich) wieder soweit: Das Wollefärben hat mich wieder. In unserem zukünftigen Alterswohnsitz ist genügend Platz dafür. Eine der neu bei mir eingezogenen Färbewollen habe ich euch bereits hier vorgestellt, dieses Mal hatte ich aber Lust auf Zeenas Lace.

Zeenas Lace kommt aus Italien, läuft 800 Meter auf 100 Gramm und besteht zu 100% aus Merino Extrafine. Sie ist NICHT Superwash ausgerüstet.

Die Ergebnisse der Färbereien zeige ich euch, sobald sie getrocknet und zum Strang gedreht sind.

Old rediscover was also on the plan – the wool dyeing has grabbed me again. With the beautiful weather, this could be well combined with sunbathing outside.

Bereits bei meinem Bericht über die h+h Cologne 2022 habe ich davon gesprochen, dass ich wieder mit dem Färben beginnen werde. Und da ich über Ostern dort bin, wo ich Platz zum Färben habe, traf es sich ideal, dass die erste Lieferung Färbegarne hier eingetroffen ist.
Einem Trend folgend habe ich zumindest fotografisch das „Unboxing“ festgehalten:

Es sind insgesamt vier verschiedene Garnqualitäten, die ich euch einzeln vorstellen werde. Heute beginnen wir mit der (fast) Standardqualität, nämlich mit Zeenas Sockenwolle.
Das besondere an Zeenas Sockenwolle ist nämlich die Zusammensetzung mit dem hohen Wollanteil:
85 % Schurwolle superwash
15 % Polyamide4
Zeenas Sockenwolle
Sie läuft etwas kürzer als herkömmliche Sockenwolle, nämlich 400 Meter auf 100 Gramm. Jeder Strang hat 100 Gramm.

Already in my report of the h+h Cologne 2022 I talked about the fact that I will start dyeing again. And because I am over Easter where I have space to dye (sorry, link just in German), it was ideal that the first shipment of dye yarns arrived here.
Following a trend, I have at least photographically documented the „unboxing“:

There are a total of four different yarn qualities, which I will present to you individually. Today we start with the ( nearly ) standard quality, namely with Zeena’s sock wool.
The special thing about Zeena’s sock wool is its combination with the high wool percentage:
85 % Virgin Wool Superwash
15 % Polyamide
Zeenas Sockenwolle
It is a bit shorter than conventional sock wool runs 400 meters per 100 grams. Each skein has 100 grams.
