Wun­der­voll, bei “Me made Mitt­woch” gibt es wie­der ein gemein­sa­mes Früh­lings­stricken. Vie­len Dank dafür an Sarah von Heib­chen­wei­se und Kath­rin von Holy Cows Blog.

Mir kommt das gera­de sehr gele­gen, denn ich habe eini­ge pas­sen­de Strick­sa­chen bereits auf den Nadeln, aber auch schon ganz kon­kret eine Idee für eine neue Jacke.

Fan­gen wir mit dem an, was als Über­ra­schung für die h+h Colo­gne gedacht war: Die Cat­ty-Cor­ner Königs­kin­der stricke ich nach einer Anlei­tung von Nico­lor. Der Kör­per ist (fast) fer­tig gestrickt — ich kämp­fe noch etwas mit dem unte­ren Rand aus gol­de­nem Garn, denn der ange­strick­te I‑Cord hin­dert lei­der das Gestrick nicht, sich nach oben ein­zu­rol­len, wie man auf der Rücken­an­sicht deut­lich sieht. Ich muss also noch ein paar Rei­hen kraus rechts dran­stricken. Dass das funk­tio­niert, weiß ich, weil ich es schon gestrickt hat­te, aber ich neh­me die Maschen aus dem I‑Cord auf und da habe ich nicht auf­ge­passt und bin irgend­wann in eine ande­re Masche des I‑Cords gel­kom­men. Das wür­de mich immer stö­ren, also habe ich es wie­der auf­ge­trennt und mache es noch­mals.

Das Garn von Glücks­gar­ne ist nun auf­ge­braucht, es geht also noch dar­um, ein kor­re­spon­die­ren­des Garn für die Arme zu fin­den. Ich glau­be, das ist mir mit zwei ver­schie­de­nen Far­ben der Sil­ky-Bam­boo von Krem­ke gelun­gen, die ich mit der N‑88 Raw silk wrap­ped stain­less steel von Habu-Tex­til auch wie­der zwei­fä­dig ver­ar­bei­ten möch­te.

Als zwei­tes habe ich eine Twink­le-Twink­le-Jacke von Fein­mo­to­rik auf den Nadeln, die ich schon auf mei­nem Blog vor­ge­stellt habe. Die Garn­aus­wahl besteht aus Sil­ky-Bam­boo von Krem­ke und La Doro von Fer­ner-Wol­le, bei­de in Pastell­far­ben. Sie ist inzwi­schen schon wei­ter gewach­sen, wie ihr hier sehen könnt:

Und die drit­te Idee, die ich ver­fol­ge, ist eine “Neu­auf­la­ge” mei­ner Jacke Kating. Die ver­wen­de­te Wol­le, Jär­bo Rag­gi, hat sich sehr bewährt, ich tra­ge die­se Jacke oft und ger­ne und die Wol­le peelt nicht und ver­trägt auch Waschen im Woll­wasch­gang in der Wasch­ma­schi­ne.

Natür­lich wer­de ich nicht die glei­che Anlei­tung nach­stricken, son­dern etwas ande­res suchen. Ich könn­te mir Ban­y­an von Nico­lor gut vor­stel­len. Da ich (wie­der ein­mal) nicht genü­gend Wol­le einer ein­zi­gen Far­be habe, muss ich impro­vi­sie­ren, aber mit die­ser Anlei­tung kann ich mir ein schö­nes Ergeb­nis auch mit mei­ner Kom­bi vor­stel­len:

This is very con­ve­ni­ent for me right now, becau­se I have some matching knits alre­a­dy on the need­les, but also alre­a­dy quite con­cre­te an idea for a new jacket.

Let’s start with what was meant as a sur­pri­se for h+h Colo­gne: I’m knit­ting the Cat­ty-Cor­ner King’s Child­ren accor­ding to a tuto­ri­al by Nico­lor. The body is (almost) finis­hed — I’m still strugg­ling a bit with the bot­tom edge of gol­den yarn, becau­se the knit­ted-on I‑cord unfort­u­n­a­te­ly does­n’t pre­vent the knit from cur­ling upwards, as you can cle­ar­ly see on the back view. So I have to add a few rows of gar­ter stitch. I know that this works becau­se I had alre­a­dy knit­ted it, but I pick up stit­ches from the I‑cord and that’s whe­re I was­n’t paying atten­ti­on and got into ano­ther stitch of the I‑cord at some point. That would always bother me, so I unra­ve­led it and am doing it again.

The yarn from Glücks­gar­ne is now used up, so it’s still a mat­ter of fin­ding a cor­re­spon­ding yarn for the arms. I think I’ve suc­ce­e­ded with two dif­fe­rent colors of Sil­ky-Bam­boo from Krem­ke, which I’d also like to two-thread again with N‑88 Raw silk wrap­ped stain­less steel from Habu-Tex­til.

Second on the need­les is a Twink­le Twink­le Jacket from Fein­mo­to­rik, which I’ve alre­a­dy fea­tured on my blog. The yarn sel­ec­tion is Sil­ky-Bam­boo by Krem­ke and La Doro by Fer­ner-Wol­le, both in pastel colors. It has alre­a­dy grown in the mean­ti­me, as you can see here:

And the third idea I am pur­suing is a “remake” of my jacket Kating. The wool used, Jär­bo Rag­gi, has been very suc­cessful, I wear this jacket often and with plea­su­re and the wool does not peel and also tole­ra­tes washing wirh the wool wash cycle of washing machi­ne.

Of cour­se, I’m not going to re-knit the same tuto­ri­al, but look for some­thing dif­fe­rent. I could well ima­gi­ne Ban­y­an from Nico­lor. Sin­ce I (once again) do not have enough wool of a sin­gle color, I have to impro­vi­se, but with the­se ins­truc­tions I can ima­gi­ne a nice result even with my com­bi­na­ti­on:
