Nach wie vor bin ich schöne Tragefotos des Pullovers Sweatrrr schuldig. Fertig wurde er am 17. Mai 2020, das während des ersten Lockdowns wegen der Corona-Pandemie und es gibt ein nicht in Szene gesetztes Foto aus dem Büro – mit verhältnismäßig langen Haaren:
Gestrickt ist er aus Holst Supersoft mit der Nadelstärke 3,00 mm.
Heute gab es endlich auch die Möglichkeit, schöne Fotos mit dem Pullover zu machen, und zusätzlich gibt es sogar Katzen- und Hunde-Content:

Der Pullover ist wahnsinnig leicht und gleichzeitig wahnsinnig warm, also genau das richtige für Urlaubstouren im Herbst oder Winter. Zur Hose würde er viel besser aussehen, wenn er länger wäre, aber zu den Kleidern, über die ich ihn gern drüber ziehe, passt er so gut, weil er so meine Taille betont.

The sweater is insanely light and at the same time insanely warm, so just the thing for vacation trips in the fall or winter. With pants it would look much better if it were longer, but with the dresses I like to pull it over, it fits so well because it so emphasizes my waist.
Mir kommt das gerade sehr gelegen, denn ich habe einige passende Stricksachen bereits auf den Nadeln, aber auch schon ganz konkret eine Idee für eine neue Jacke.
Fangen wir mit dem an, was als Überraschung für die h+h Cologne gedacht war: Die Catty-Corner Königskinder stricke ich nach einer Anleitung von Nicolor. Der Körper ist (fast) fertig gestrickt – ich kämpfe noch etwas mit dem unteren Rand aus goldenem Garn, denn der angestrickte I-Cord hindert leider das Gestrick nicht, sich nach oben einzurollen, wie man auf der Rückenansicht deutlich sieht. Ich muss also noch ein paar Reihen kraus rechts dranstricken. Dass das funktioniert, weiß ich, weil ich es schon gestrickt hatte, aber ich nehme die Maschen aus dem I-Cord auf und da habe ich nicht aufgepasst und bin irgendwann in eine andere Masche des I-Cords gelkommen. Das würde mich immer stören, also habe ich es wieder aufgetrennt und mache es nochmals.

Das Garn von Glücksgarne ist nun aufgebraucht, es geht also noch darum, ein korrespondierendes Garn für die Arme zu finden. Ich glaube, das ist mir mit zwei verschiedenen Farben der Silky-Bamboo von Kremke gelungen, die ich mit der N-88 Raw silk wrapped stainless steel von Habu-Textil auch wieder zweifädig verarbeiten möchte.

Als zweites habe ich eine Twinkle-Twinkle-Jacke von Feinmotorik auf den Nadeln, die ich schon auf meinem Blog vorgestellt habe. Die Garnauswahl besteht aus Silky-Bamboo von Kremke und La Doro von Ferner-Wolle, beide in Pastellfarben. Sie ist inzwischen schon weiter gewachsen, wie ihr hier sehen könnt:
Und die dritte Idee, die ich verfolge, ist eine „Neuauflage“ meiner Jacke Kating. Die verwendete Wolle, Järbo Raggi, hat sich sehr bewährt, ich trage diese Jacke oft und gerne und die Wolle peelt nicht und verträgt auch Waschen im Wollwaschgang in der Waschmaschine.

Natürlich werde ich nicht die gleiche Anleitung nachstricken, sondern etwas anderes suchen. Ich könnte mir Banyan von Nicolor gut vorstellen. Da ich (wieder einmal) nicht genügend Wolle einer einzigen Farbe habe, muss ich improvisieren, aber mit dieser Anleitung kann ich mir ein schönes Ergebnis auch mit meiner Kombi vorstellen:

This is very convenient for me right now, because I have some matching knits already on the needles, but also already quite concrete an idea for a new jacket.
Let’s start with what was meant as a surprise for h+h Cologne: I’m knitting the Catty-Corner King’s Children according to a tutorial by Nicolor. The body is (almost) finished – I’m still struggling a bit with the bottom edge of golden yarn, because the knitted-on I-cord unfortunately doesn’t prevent the knit from curling upwards, as you can clearly see on the back view. So I have to add a few rows of garter stitch. I know that this works because I had already knitted it, but I pick up stitches from the I-cord and that’s where I wasn’t paying attention and got into another stitch of the I-cord at some point. That would always bother me, so I unraveled it and am doing it again.

The yarn from Glücksgarne is now used up, so it’s still a matter of finding a corresponding yarn for the arms. I think I’ve succeeded with two different colors of Silky-Bamboo from Kremke, which I’d also like to two-thread again with N-88 Raw silk wrapped stainless steel from Habu-Textil.

Second on the needles is a Twinkle Twinkle Jacket from Feinmotorik, which I’ve already featured on my blog. The yarn selection is Silky-Bamboo by Kremke and La Doro by Ferner-Wolle, both in pastel colors. It has already grown in the meantime, as you can see here:
And the third idea I am pursuing is a „remake“ of my jacket Kating. The wool used, Järbo Raggi, has been very successful, I wear this jacket often and with pleasure and the wool does not peel and also tolerates washing wirh the wool wash cycle of washing machine.

Of course, I’m not going to re-knit the same tutorial, but look for something different. I could well imagine Banyan from Nicolor. Since I (once again) do not have enough wool of a single color, I have to improvise, but with these instructions I can imagine a nice result even with my combination:

Beides habe ich in Mengen, die alleine nicht für ein Kleidungsprojekt für mich reichen, aber zusammen verstrickt könnte es einerseits reichen und andererseits erzielt man damit durchaus sehr interessante Effekte und Farbschattierungen. Auf die Weise sehen Pastellfarben auch gar nicht mehr babymäßig aus, wie ich finde.

Ich bin wirklich gespannt, wie sich die Twinkle-Twinkle-Jacke in Pastellfarben weiter entwickelt. Zusätzlich hoffe ich, dass die Jacke gut zu einem bestimmten bunten Kleid von mir passt.

Ich hoffe inständig, die Jacke wird bis zum 18. März 2022 fertig, denn an diesem Tag fahre ich nach Köln, um dann am 19. März endlich wieder „richtig und in echt“ auf der h+h Cologne zu sein. Und dort werde ich sicherlich um 12 Uhr mit dabei sein, wenn der #TahitiKAL angestrickt wird. Das nötige Garn dazu habe ich mir bereits besorgt und wenn die Twinkle-Twinkle-Jacke in Pastellfarben bis dahin fertig ist, habe ich auch die passenden Stricknadeln wieder frei, beides wird nämlich mit Nadeln der Stärke 3,5 mm gestrickt.

Es sind die Farben 07691 Pool und 07652 Aquatic. Beide Farben sind sich sehr ähnlich, das war aber bewusst so gewählt, weil ich noch einen bunten Sommerstoff hier habe, aus dem ein Sommerkleid werden soll und dann könnte das Tuch gut dazu passen, ohne dass alles zu bunt wirkt.
Und natürlich dürft ihr schon gespannt sein auf den Bericht, den ich euch aus Köln von der h+h Cologne mitbringen werde. Ich freue mich jedenfalls schon sehr darauf.

Here come the first photos of my Twinkle Twinkle Jacket from Feinmotorik, this time in pastel colors and without beads. I have already presented it at my February projects.
The yarn selection consists of Silky-Bamboo from Kremke and La Doro from Ferner wool, both in pastel colors with pink, purple, turquoise, yellow. Both I have in quantities that alone are not enough for a clothing project for me, but knitted together it could be enough on the one hand and on the other hand you can achieve quite interesting effects and color shades. In this way, pastel colors also no longer look babyish, I think.
ch am really excited to see how the Twinkle Twinkle Jacket in pastel colors will develop further. In addition, I hope the jacket will go well with a certain colorful dress of mine.
I sincerely hope the jacket will be finished by March 18, 2022, because on that day I’ll be going to Cologne to finally be back „properly and for real“ at h+h Cologne on March 19. And there I will certainly be there at 12 o’clock when the #TahitiKAL is knitted on. The necessary yarn for this I have already procured and if the Twinkle Twinkle jacket in pastel colors is finished by then, I also have the matching knitting needles free again, both are knitted with needles of 3.5 mm diameter.
There are the colors 07691 Pool and 07652 Aquatic. Both colors are very similar, but that was deliberately chosen because I still have a colorful summer fabric here, which will be a summer dress and then the cloth could fit well without everything looks too colorful.
And of course you can already look forward to the report that I will bring you from Cologne from the h+h Cologne. In any case, I’m really looking forward to it.
Ich habe ja hier meine Pläne für 2022 schriftlich festgelegt. Das war vielleicht unklug, denn bereits im Januar bin ich krachend gescheitert, und auch der Februar wird ein Misserfolg. Aber ich kann das sehr gut begründen, von daher fällt es mir nicht schwer.
Zunächst habe ich im Februar beschlossen, dieses Jahr wieder zur h+h cologne zu fahren, die erstmals seit Corona wieder in Präsenz stattfindet. Also musste ich meine Prioritäten dahingehend unsortiert, dass ich dann etwas passendes, gutaussehenden, noch unbekanntes, selbstgestricktes zum Anziehen zu haben. Und da es bis zur h+h cologne unbekannt bleiben soll, kann ich es hier nur in winzigen Ausschnitten vorstellen. Aber ich verrate euch, dass ich es nach der Anleitung Cattys-Corner von Nicolor aus einem Farbverlaufsbobbel von Glücksgarne stricke, der sich Königskinder nennt.
Nicht vergessen, aber auch noch nicht fertig sind die Jägerinnenhandschuhe, die schon im Januar hätten fertig werden sollen. Ich muss dabei sehr konzentriert stricken und mitzählen, deswegen zieht es sich gerade etwas zäh, derzeit ist mir mehr nach „mindless“ zumute. Gleichzeitig warte ich noch auf die Knöpfe der neuen Besitzerin, die ich noch anbringen muss, eine angenehme Ausrede zur Prokrastination. Hier ist der Stand des zweiten Handschuhs:

Inspiriert von meinen Wollvorräten und den frühlingshaften Tagen habe ich noch einen weiteren Twinkel-Twinkle von Feinmotorik begonnen. Er wird aus zwei verschiedenen Garnen gestrickt, nämlich aus La Doro von Ferner-Wolle und aus der Silky-Bamboo von Kremke.

Mal sehen, was der März bringt, auf dem Plan steht meine Knit-Zone-Jacke – das wäre auch ein gutes Stück, um es auf der h+h Cologne zu tragen. Den bisherigen Plan für „Februar“ werde ich wohl stornieren.

After all, I have put my plans for 2022 in writing here. That was perhaps unwise, because I already failed miserably in January, and February will also be a failure. But I can justify this very well, so it is not difficult for me.

Tanja Steinbach hat das kostenloses Sockenmuster Frühlingssocken 2020 herausgebracht. Und sie hat dazu aufgerufen, fertige Socken aus diesem Muster mit dem Hashtag #frühlingssocken2022 bei Instagram zu posten, sie würde je gepostetem Paar einen kleinen Betrag der Stiftung Deutsche Krebshilfe spenden. Da ich beim letzten Wichteln mit den wollbegeisterten Oberpfälzer Stricklieseln ein Knäuel Sockenwolle Schoeller+Stahl Fortissima Colori Socka Color in Bonbonfarben (Link zu Ravelry) ergattert habe, war ich motiviert, sofort zu beginnen. Und ich war engagiert genug, sie innerhalb einer Woche fertigzustellen.
#frühlingssocken2022
Ich habe einige Abweichungen vorgenommen. Als Ferse habe ich die mir gut passende Herzchenferse genommen und meine übliche Bandspitze, das mache ich inzwischen ohne besondere Anleitung. Weil ich identische Socken wollte, musste ich an einem Farbübergang beginnen und dazu bereits beim ersten Socken etwas abwickeln. Beim zweiten Socken musste ich sogar etwas mehr abwickeln, also entschloss ich mich, den oberen Sockenrand mit einer gehäkelten Reihe Krebsmaschen zu verzieren. Dazu gibt es ein tolles Youtube-Video von EliZZA, die leider schon verstorben ist.
Als nächstes wollte ich die Socken natürlich bestmöglich ist Szene setzen. Das ist schwierig, wenn sich die Sockenbretter in der Wohnung bei der Tochter befinden und nicht hier. Zum Glück fand ich aber bei michamade.de eine Anleitung mit passender Schablone. Und ein von ihr als Material empfohlenes, schon etwas in die Jahre gekommene dünnes Schneidebrett des Möbelschweden fand sich auch in meinem umfangreichen Fundus an Küchenschneidebrettern. Also legte ich fröhlich los. Den Schaft der Sockenbretter habe ich mit Hilfe eines Lineals verlängert, es sollen ja auch schöne Fotos damit gemacht werden können.
Und hier sehen Sie das Ergebnis meiner Bemühungen, was sowohl das Stricken der Socken als auch der Herstellung der Sockenbretter betrifft.
Frühlingssocken 2022
Tanja Steinbach has released the free sock pattern Frühlingssocken 2020. And she has called to post finished socks from this pattern with the hashtag #frühlingssocken2022 on Instagram, she would donate a small amount per posted pair to the Stiftung Deutsche Krebshilfe. Since I snagged a ball of sock wool Schoeller+Stahl Fortissima Colori Socka Color in candy colors (link to Ravelry) at the last Secret Santa with the wool-loving Oberpfälzer Stricklieseln, I was motivated to get started right away. And I was committed enough to finish them within a week.
I have made some changes. For the heel I took the heart heel that fits me well and my usual ribbon toe, I do that in the meantime without special instructions. Because I wanted identical socks, I had to start at a color transition and to do this already unwind a little on the first sock. On the second sock, I even had to unwind a bit more, so I decided to decorate the top edge of the sock with a crocheted row of crab stitches. For this there is a great Youtube video from EliZZA, who unfortunately has already passed away.
Next, of course, I wanted to put the socks in the best possible scene. This is difficult when the sock boards are in the apartment at daughter and not here. Fortunately, however, I found at michamade.de a tutorial with matching template. And a thin cutting board of IKEA recommended by her as a material, which is already a bit outdated, was also found in my extensive fund of cutting boards. So I merrily set to work. The shaft of the sock boards I have extended with the help of a ruler, it should also be nice photos can be made with it.

Auf Ravelry kann man eine einfach zu strickende Anleitung für gestrickte Topflappen erhalten: Die Bakers Twine von Ducathi. „Baker’s Twine“ ist der englische Begriff für Bäcker-Garn. Bei uns wird dieses Garn auch Bratenschnur oder Metzgergarn genannt. Mir fallen auch definitiv mehr, um nicht zu sagen, ausschließlich, Verwendungsmöglichkeiten in der Fleischküche ein, ich denke da an Rouladen, Rollbraten und ähnlichem.
Aber natürlich werden die Topflappen nicht wirklich aus diesem Garn gestrickt, sondern sie werden aus doppelfädig genommenem Baumwollgarn gestrickt und dadurch entsteht dieser Eindruck dieses Garnes.
Ich habe bei wolldealer24.de Baumwolle bestellt, nämlich Rellana Tonja Color Topflappengarn in der Farbe 421. Eigentlich wollte ich damit meine Tochter unterstützen, die hat nämlich das Häkeln für sich entdeckt. Und dann kam alles anders, ich brauchte nämlich auch noch ein Geburtstagsgeschenk für meine beste Freundin. Da sie beim Auspacken der Baumwollen dabei war, hat sie sich spontan Topflappen eben in der Farbe gewünscht, am liebsten vermischt mit blau, denn das ist die Farbe ihrer Küchenaccessoires. Blaues Baumwollgarn hatte ich auch noch von einem missglückten und undokumentierten Topflappen-in-Double-Face-Technik-Stricken-Versuch, den ich 2019 begonnen und nie beendet hatte. Das Objekt dieses Misserfolgs lag halbfertig im Handschuhfach des Autos und meine Freundin trennte sich also das zweite Garn für ihre Topflappen selber während der Fahrt auf. Im übrigen hat es nicht für beide Topflappen gereicht und ich musste Ersatz besorgen. Zum Glück fiel mir noch ein, dass ich dieses Garn bei Thomas Philipps erworben hatte – der Versuch sollte ja nicht so kostspielig sein. Es ist ein dünneres Garn als das Topflappengarn.
Die 50 Gramm des dickeren Baumwollgarnes reichten auch nicht ganz, um ein Quadrat herzustellen, aber doch weit genug, um genügend große Topflappen herzustellen. Und dies ist das Ergebnis meiner Bemühungen, das meiner Freundin nach eigenem Bekunden gut gefällt.
Vor einigen Tagen gab es Baumwolle auch bei Aldi-Süd – raten Sie mal, wer da auch gekauft hat, um für sich selber auch welche zu stricken? Ich lasse es Sie wissen, wenn sie fertig sind, versprochen!
Topflappen Bakers Twine in blau

On Ravelry you can get an easy to knit tutorial for knitted potholders: In Germany, this yarn is also called butcher’s twine. I can definitely think of more, not to say exclusive, uses in meat cooking, I’m thinking about roulades, rolled roasts and things like that.
But, of course, the potholders are not really knitted from this yarn, but they are knitted from cotton yarn taken double-threaded, and this creates this impression of this yarn.
I have ordered at wolldealer24.de cotton, namely Rellana Tonja Color pot flap yarn in color 421. Actually, I wanted to support my daughter, who has discovered namely the crochet for himself. And then everything turned out differently, because I also needed a birthday gift for my best friend. Since she was unpacking the cotton, she spontaneously wanted potholders just in the color, preferably mixed with blue, because that is the color of her kitchen accessories. I also still had blue cotton yarn from a failed and undocumented potholder-in-double-face-technique-knitting attempt I started in 2019 and never finished. The object of that failure was half-finished in the glove box of the car, so my friend separated the second yarn for her potholders herself while I was driving. Incidentally, it wasn’t enough for both potholders and I had to get replacements. Luckily, I remembered that I had purchased this yarn at Thomas Philipps – it shouldn’t be that expensive to try. It is a thinner yarn than the potholder yarn.
The 50 grams of the thicker cotton yarn was also not quite enough to make a square, but far enough to make large enough potholders. And this is the result of my efforts, which my friend says she likes it.
A few days ago, there was cotton also at Aldi Süd – guess who also bought there to knit for themselves also some? I’ll let you know when they are ready, I promise!
