Irgendwie ging der Mai ganz plötzlich zu Ende und der Juni begann. Gestern habe ich dann immerhin mal alle Kalenderblätter aktualisiert und heute kümmere ich mich um den Blog.
Dafür war ich aber nähtechnisch sehr aktiv und so habe ich zwei „La Sillas“ und einen Bahnenrock der Schneiderakademie zur Auswahl und habe meinen Allerweltsbademantel individualisiert.

But for this I was very active in sewing and so I have two „La Sillas“ and a panel skirt from the tailor’s academy to choose from and I have individualized my everyman bathrobe.

Alles neu macht der – April. Wobei das so nicht ganz stimmt, denn wirklich neu ist ja nicht, dass ich Wolle färbe. Ich habe das Färben aber wiederentdeckt:

Im April ging es also wieder los mit der Färberei, als erstes habe ich Zeenas Lace gefärbt.

Gestrickt habe ich auch und es wurde sogar etwas fertig: Die Twinkle-Twinkle-Jacke in Pastellfarben

Fleißig stricke ich beim #tahitikal mit, da kam am vergangenen Freitag der letzte Anleitungsteil.
Neu begonnen habe ich, passend zum Jäckchen, einen Twinkle-Twinkle als Shirt aus einem Seidengarn:

Da es derzeit noch völlig ohne besondere geistige Anstrengung in Runden gestrickt wird, ist es derzeit ein gutes Mitnahmeprojekt, wie hier bei der Fortbildung eines LKW-Moduls oder auch bei der ADR-Nachschulung gestern und heute.
Nach wie vor als störrisch erweist sich die Catty-Corner – der untere Rand ließ sich trotz mehrmaliger Pfuschversuche nicht vom hochrollen abhalten, also habe ich das angestrickte nochmal aufgetrennt und neu gemacht. Und nochmal. Ein Ärmel ist immerhin fertig, der zweite wird wohl auch zeitnah fertig werden.

Everything new makes the – April (this is a reference to a German saying: Alles neu macht der Mai). But that’s not quite true, because it’s not really new that I dye wool. But I have rediscovered the dyeing.

So in April I started dyeing again, the first thing I did was dye Zeena’s Lace.

Diligently knitting along with the #tahitikal, there came last Friday the last tutorial part.
Newly started I have, matching the jacket, a Twinkle-Twinkle as a shirt from a silk yarn:

Since it is currently knitted in rounds with no particular mental effort at all, it is currently a good take-home project, as seen here during the advanced training of a truck module or also during the ADR retraining yesterday and today.
The catty-corner still proves to be stubborn – the lower edge could not be kept from rolling up despite several botched attempts, so I unraveled the knitted-on one again and redid it. And again. One sleeve is finished, the second will probably be finished soon.

Es fehlt noch das Fäden vernähen, waschen und Knöpfe annähen. Die Seite der Knopfleiste, an die die Knöpfe angenäht werden, werde ich wieder mit einem Stück Baumwollstoff unterlegen, dann halten meiner Meinung nach die Knöpfe besser und ein Ausreißen des Stricks wird verhindert. Ich habe zwei Stücke zur Auswahl und habe beide unter unterschiedlichen Lichtverhältnissen fotografiert. Entschieden habe ich mich für das beige, denn zu der Gesamtkombination werde ich auch beige Pumps und eine Handtasche in einer ähnlichen Farbe tragen.

Es gibt auch noch Arbeit zum Auftrennen – den ersten Ärmel habe ich lockerer abgekettet als den zweiten, mir gefällt aber der zweite besser, also werde ich den ersten Ärmel anpassen.

Apropos Ärmel: Ein bisschen Stolz bin ich drauf, dass die Ärmel in den Farbverläufen sehr ähnlich geworden sind, das war nämlich viel Arbeit mit wiegen und abwickeln der jeweiligen Garne.

Und weil ich gerade so gut „im flow“ bin, habe ich gleich noch das passende Shirt dazu angeschlagen – das wird aber wohl eher zu Pfingsten als zu Ostern fertig:

Today, Memademittwoch’s FJKA 2022 is themed „It Runs, I Need Motivation or Help, I have changed My Plans…“
Still missing is the sewing of threads, washing and sewing on buttons. The side of the button placket, to which the buttons are sewn on, I will again underlay with a piece of cotton fabric, then in my opinion the buttons hold better and a tearing of the knit is prevented.

There’s also work to do to unravel – I chained the first sleeve more loosely than the second, but I like the second one better, so I’ll adjust the first sleeve.

Speaking of sleeves: I’m a bit proud of the fact that the sleeves turned out very similar in the color gradients, because that was a lot of work with weighing and unwinding the respective yarns.

And because I’m just so well „in the flow“, I have the same matching shirt posted – but that will probably be ready for Pentecost rather than Easter:
